The Most Important Book on Earth
When I was re-introduced to the 77 Commandments, I felt relaxation in my muscles and I took a deep refreshing breath. I smiled and felt like a great weight had been lifted off my shoulders. In large part, my spiritual journey, before reaching The Earth Center, was like many others'. I searched for the answer to this question: How am I supposed to be, to live spiritually? The 77 Commandments provide the clearest and most concise answer to that question, which everyone can follow. When I talk to others about the Great Book of Divine Ordinances, usually they look at It and accept certain parts and reject others. It is at this point that I typically bite my tongue and allow the conversation to move into other realms to avoid any potential disputes and hot tempers that could arise. I often wonder why they are resistant: what do they have to lose by following the 77 Commandments? This was not my experience upon seeing the Code of Human Behaviour when I became an initiate of The Earth Center.
Unlike all the other information out there on spiritual issues, the Divine Code was authored by the Gods, not by a human hand. The Divine Code is also 150,000 years old and is the center of Kemetic culture. Some readers will also be interested to know that 45 of the 77 Commandments were given by the Goddess NW, the Mother of the Gods. The Divine Code has become the most important part of my life.
Everyday I intend to follow the 77 Commandments with my every breath and everyday I measure myself based upon Its words. I also now know exactly how I will be judged after my death. When it is my turn to face the Gods in the after world, it will not be a surprise or pop quiz. I know exactly how They will judge me, and I know exactly what They do not to want me to do in this life. My after-life and next lives are based on how well I follow the Divine Code in this life, and I have made it my business to insure that I have a high quality of existence.
I was told that the Great Book was a restrictive document, confining human behaviour. I found personally that Its clarity and simplicity removed fear out of my life and gave me confidence and security in all matters because I now know exactly what not to do. This short story illustrates my experience: There is a woman walking through a cave who cannot see, speak, or hear. The cave is full of sharp rocks and pits. So of course she ends up hurting herself over and over as she tries to escape. One morning she wakes up and has full use of her senses and is able to come and go as she pleases without injury. This is similar to my experience with the Divine Code. Now I can see clearly the spiritual pitfalls and jagged rocks, so now I don’t hurt myself. I have found that the 77 Commandment are the prescription for a successful life time. I see that adopting the Divine Code has taught me how to act in a way that is most favorable to life and in a way that is as harmless to others as possible. It has also helped me to understand that the real war worth fighting is within me, not with Bush and the "corporatocracy", and the best thing that I can do for myself and the world is to stop my own evil behaviour. The Code acts as a mirror that allows me to identify the evil within me. It has been my experience that when I make this realization in the moment that I am currently contributing to the evil in the world, I am able to instantly stop myself, reassess myself internally and my current situation, and return to behavior that obeys the Great Book. The Code encourages only the best actions that humanity is capable of. Unlike all other "sacred" or "holy" books, the Great Book does not contradict itself.
Before I encountered the Divine Code, the lines separating good and evil were very blurry for me. In fact the modern paradigm promotes this idea of cultivating evil and encouraging humanity's self destruction, I now understand that evil is comprised of 77 very clear and easy to understand things. All I have to do is not do those 77 things. Reality has become very simple for me.
Living by the Divine Code has been the most challenging spiritual exercise that I have ever performed, and I have found that I cannot make it 24 hours without breaking at least 4 Commandments, and those are just the infractions that I am aware of. In truth, I usually cannot make it more than 1 hour without breaking the Divine Code. I challenge everyone who reads this article to follow the 77 Commandments successfully for one day, even if you are not yet a Kem. As a Kem, my goal in life has become to replicate the Divine World. To replicate the Divine World within myself, I must follow the 77 Commandments. That's it, it is that simple. I fully encourage everyone to replicate the Divine World within themselves and follow The Great Book of Divine Ordinances, The Code of Human Behavior.
