People from around the world will be participating in the original annual fasting period. This is done in observance of the anniversary and impact of our ancestral God Wsr. Every year, Wsr makes his transition to the World of the Dead. Throughout nature, we see everything change including the plants, animals, and celestial bodies during this period. This leaves us all vulnerable from the time of his death on 17 Ateeri aka Nov 26., until he is once again seated on his throne in the World of the Dead on 7 Tepia aka Jan 15. The 10 day fast period is from 27 Kairika (Jan 5) to 7 Tepia (Jan 15)

Since Pharaonic times, this phenomena was observed by participating in a fast, which helps us align with the energies of this period. This is a period that calls for turning inward, meditation, and fasting. This guide has been created by Kem of the Kebtah temples as a tool to help you obtain the maximum benefits from the fasting period. It is designed to help you develop your focus and discipline while observing the fasting period.
