Pilgrim’s Walking Stick: An Illegitimate Reality
Science claims to have the answers to what existence is and how it functions. If so, why then hasn't it achieved what it has been attempting to achieve? Explanations without actions. On the other hand, indigenous people do not claim to have the explanation about how existence works, but they do demonstrate how existence works.
A man can possess profound knowledge (know-how, technology, or recipes) without having an explanation or theory about knowledge, especially if the knowledge has been passed down to him by generations of his ancestors, the ones who figured out the secrets of the existence thousands of years ago. They are the ones who passed down the recipes that enable us to obtain from existence or nature the effects we are look- ing for. It was our ancestors who experimented with every component nature provides in order to allow us to utilize these mixtures and methods to experience and achieve what science claims to know but does not achieve.
Science claims to have an explanation for gravity: what it is and how it works; which means that science is thereby aware of its opposing force as well. Knowing this opposing force means that science can easily explain how to find the balance between it and gravity. If science can explain this balance, then it is able to explain how we can use this middle ground to achieve human suspension or flight. Obviously, science has not reached such an understanding and therefore should admit its lack of knowledge. But, of course, scientists' egos will not allow for such an admission because it would expose the history they have written for themselves as one of guesses and speculation rather than a history of knowledge actually accumulated.
The indigenous populations of Earth, those who have not succumbed to the colonial traps or mindset, possess the know-how that even science would envy as profound and enigmatic. Human flight or suspension is one example. It is through knowing how to use nature under the right conditions that flight is achievable. Maybe it is because the indigenous world does not see the need to prove itself to those who think they are smarter that it has not put this knowledge into the colonial mainstream but continues to preserve it within very tight circles of highly trained priests. The most intelligent one will give the impression that he knows the least. He does not feel the need to show the world how intelligent he is. With him, there is simply no ego involved. His ambitions are limited to preserving himself, which includes his environment. His goals are set not by himself but by the same channels that exposed him to the realities of nature and to his proper relationship with it. This means that if he disregards these factors, he will be forced to disregard what and who he is. And if he goes as far as doing that, he will then become a stranger to the world he once identified with.
This is the dilemma we are facing at this present moment. We have become strangers to the same world our ancestors once identified with. It remains a daunting task for any individual to benefit from anything he does not recognize. At that point, he can only observe and imagine. And even within his imagination, he will find that there is a limit. This then impairs his methods of investigating the nature that surrounds him, which ultimately results in the individual not looking past whatever is being presented to him, which is a world of impossibilities. If an individual becomes fixated on what is impossible, he can then honestly admit defeat or surrender. It is this fixation on what is impossible that modern societies succeeded in imposing on the world through science and religion. This tactic is an incredible insult to human genius. It is this perspective that gave birth to the deceptive idea that aliens built the pyramids we see in modern day Egypt. The thinking that has been imposed and is now widespread is that if science cannot explain the process that produced the pyramids, then the process is not possible.
Religion is the companion of science: let there be no misunderstanding regarding that. It was because the colonizers of our planet could not explain what happens to the soul or spirit after death that they fabricated their theories and then presented them as truths! After all, it was just within the last 2000 years that they were made aware that a human being has a soul! And even their awareness of this fact still does not deter them from treating human beings in ways that clearly show that they still do not know what having a soul means! Even within themselves!
It will be only through indigenous knowledge that humanity can be preserved and our planet be made harmonious again. There is no other way, regardless of what science and religion have mandated.
