The Reference Standard for Meditation

Meditation is a spiritual practice humanity has cherished for ages. To routine meditation, add the Code of Human Behaviour and the Medu language and our lives will ensure our journey towards purity. In modern colonial societies many schools of meditation are offered to one who is searching for spiritual activities. Asian, Indian, and even New Age meditation techniques are readily available. For the many people interested in approaching things from their origins, it has been extremely hard to find "African" meditation techniques.

In a time when humans have become largely disconnected from their history, seeking a reconnection is the only thing that protects us from being misled or deceived. Metropolitan cities bombard people with many distractions to politicise their lives, making it harder and harder for people to commit themselves to anything: they dare not trust anyone. This is their situation: because the history of a thing offers us a chance to investigate its intentions, modern colonial, political powers are rushing to change history, and if they succeed, that will make it much more difficult for people to investigate intentions. The history of meditation is being changed to credit India instead of Merita/Africa with the first schools and forms of meditation. This distortion of history would force honest seekers to penetrate inconsistencies in the rewritten history to learn truths in or in spite of the inconsistencies.

Recently, even the doctrines of colonial science have reluctantly admitted that the continent known today as Africa is the home of humanity's roots. The archaeological find of "Lucy", the first human, has been dimmed by the findings of other ancient human skeletal remains in the Nile Valley area of Merita.

Genealogists have even admitted that no matter where a human being is from, what "race" a human being is, his/her DNA can be traced to an area on the continent of Merita. Let us recall that this is the same scientific doctrine that invested money to disseminate the theory that the brains of Africans are smaller than those of Europeans and our Asian counterparts. These recent admissions seem like honourable steps towards intellectual honesty, but let us not speak to soon. While these colonial scientists are admitting our common origins in Merita, they are also feverishly selling the theory of evolution. This allows colonial culture to sustain an inferior status for Merita. For if evolution is true, then all that this concession amounts to then all this admittance means is that Africans are the closest humans on the evolutionary chart to primates!

The roots of humanity seem to be used as yet another distraction for the individual. Today, "new age" black historians take pride in their realisation that their mother continent is the ancestral home of humanity; they then present this fact as reason for their own supremacy. But let us not forget that it is also a common understanding amongst indigenous cultures and their inferior counterpart, the colonial scientific doctrine, that the continents are not the same continents as they were just 100,000 years ago, let alone millions of years ago. It would be much more profound for us to notice that this common ancestry unifies humanity and destroys all of the reasons we have to separate ourselves: race, nationality, etc.

It should also confirm that, as a group we are unified by the fact that we share the same roots, the same elder cultures from whose experience we can draw wisdom regardless of our colour, beliefs, ethnicity, nationality, gender, etc. This is why the M'TAM School of Kemetic Philosophy and Spirituality is such a treasure to humanity. This is why we must humbly approach indigenous cultures of Merita who have been able to preserve their old ancestral ways and give them our ears, support and the energy and ambition of our youth. This is why we must pay attention to indigenous cultures everywhere (who have a connection with their ancestral roots) instead of to these new guessing doctrines.

M'TAM does not only offer meditation techniques, it offers the original forms of meditation as they were taught and applied in the temples of the Hapi (Nile) and Djoliba (Niger) Valley civilisations. These techniques allow us to use the wisdom of our ancestors and stand confidently on their shoulders as we continue our ascent towards the Divine World.

In the Ka'at ibi there are techniques that improve mental focus, stability, and relaxation. M'TAM presents techniques that build the brain, sharpen the senses, and improve intuition. There are breathing techniques, exercise techniques, stretches, yoga-like energy influencing techniques and much more. When I began to study the Ka'at ibi, it became quite clear that it was the root of all the other meditative techniques that I had dabbled in. These original poses, movements and exercises together with a more cohesive spiritual paradigm and education became a life boat in the sea of destruction that the modern world has made of human society. I urge the reader to investigate the history of everything they choose to incorporate into their life.

I urge the reader to learn Ka'at Ibi and practise it daily to improve mental clarity, focus and emotional control among other things. Human beings are really very vulnerable. We are easily distracted and easily corrupted; and the forces of evil that confront our growth have made sure to leave countless traps like geography, skin colour, beliefs and modern luxuries. Let us use all of the tools that we have inherited from the Divine World through our ancestors to help us navigate our journey.
