Spotlight: Continuing Imperialism Government and Religious Tactics
Examples of colonialism and imperialism are not lacking in the news, but for one living in a society that practices these tactics on the world (including their own citizens), they can be difficult to recognize. Hopefully, by becoming more aware of examples of such practices, we can begin to see when they are happening around us.
ENGLAND EDUCATES NIGERIANS
The modern world has an agenda to "educate" every child in the world for free, and the United Kingdom has made giant steps in ensuring this reality: England will be giving $15 billion to fund education in Nigeria and other African countries over the next ten years. This amount is over four times greater than England's grants in the last ten years.
England is concerned because seventy-seven out of ninety-nine countries (mostly in Africa) charge some type of fee for basic education. Their decision to make these funds available stems from their desire for every child to have a "quality education" and to close the education funding gap.
Of course, it goes without saying that the funds will go only to schools with the European agenda. Funds will be made available to those schools that follow the wishes of the donor governments and organizations. Of course, these schools will teach English instead of traditional languages and will teach the curriculum that has been set by and molded after the European one.
While funding education seems like a very good thing on the surface, it is really just another branch of colonization. We are telling Africans that their way of life is not acceptable and that they need to go to White schools and be taught about the world from the White man's perspective, rather than learning about life through traditional schools and education or continuing the work of the family, whether it be farming, blacksmithing, or fishing.
It is clear that the modern educational system sets children up to be workers rather than entrepreneurs and numbers instead of humans. It is obvious that the nations who are providing the money to ensure that every African child is educated in their system is thinking of their own self-interests rather than the well-being of those children.
Parents are being duped into sending their children to modern schools. This disrupts the natural lifestyle of many families while also aiding the corruption of the cultural and spiritual systems.
He who controls education controls the society. A human being can be educated into being anything imaginable. When the European system grabs ahold of young children and begins their indoctrination ("education", it is clear that they are attacking the minds of those who they want to colonize.
CANADA DIGS FOR OIL IN UGANDA
Perhaps the politics of the United States has rubbed off on our Northern neighbor, because Canadian oil firm, Heritage Oil Corporation (how ironic!), has started drilling an oil well on the shores of Lake Albert in Uganda.
The well on Lake Albert is named "Kingfisher". Heritage Oil Corporation has a fifty percent interest in the well and is partnered with Tullow Oil, which was formerly South African based Energy Africa Ltd.
Heritage expects good results from Kingfisher because it lies next to other successful oil wells. Heritage Oil expects to find oil in the well by the third quarter of the year.
Heritage Oil Corporation has previously drilled oil in Uganda in the Semliki basin. They have abandoned these projects due to carbon dioxide contamination and equipment failure. These problems are not expected at the Kingfisher site.
No mention was made of financial benefits to Uganda. The country will assuredly be unpleasantly surprised by the lack of benefits they will receive from allowing foreign countries to suck the blood out of their land. Meanwhile, Heritage Oil and other foreign oil companies will be enjoying large profits and more control in the areas in which they operate.
KENYAN CHURCH
AIDS CLINICS CLOSED
Self-appointed "prophetess" Lucy Nduta's business has been suffering a great deal lately because three clinics that were associated with her have been closed for giving false medical reports to AIDS patients. The Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board shut down three clinics and arrested their staff, including Vine Medical Clinic and Prestige Laboratory (both operating without licenses) and another clinic that was not even registered.
Lucy Nduta is part of an Evangelical church that was offering AlDS patients a miracle cure for their disease. For Sh200,000 to Sh400,000 ($2800 to $5670), sufferers are told that their disease will be cured. Many unsuspecting AIDS victims sold property or borrowed money to pay the fees.
What did their money buy? Prayers from the church. After the prayers, patients were taken to get an AIDS test at specific clinics (which were working with the church in this scheme) in Nairobi. The patients were always accompanied by an elder in the church, who acts as the go-between. The elder would be the one to receive the results and take them back to Lucy Nduta at the church. If the patient had paid the money, they were told that they were cured.
Lucy Nduta and her church were found out to be frauds when two patients went for an independent AIDS test on their own. Of course, they were found to still have the virus, and they complained. Unsurprisingly, Lucy Nduta bashed the two patients for "having little faith" and reprimanded them for going for tests in other clinics.
The church strikes again.
