Solutions to the problems we see in the world today often escape us due in part to the fact that the origins to these problems exist in a realm from which we have been completely disconnected. The truth of any situation can be seen in the source of its creation. To see the truth of the problematic situation of people of color we must look at the source of where those problems were bred.
The most well-known of the Christian Knights are the Knights Templar. The order, originally from France, was founded in 1119 and was active from about 1129 to 1312. The Templars, a highly skilled fighting force, were used by the European Elite to subjugate and kill during the Crusades. In the early days of the United States, the Christian Knight was reformed under the name Ku Klux Klan (KKK) and just as the Knights Templar did for Europe with the crusades, the KKK was charged with taking land and property while subjugating the newly “freed” Negroes, once slavery was “abolished.” The KKK’s historically familiar torture tactics were commonplace in the southern region of the United States. The KKK would hang, burn, beat, and mutilate men, women, and children.
Today, there are recruitment videos online for ISIS, however, no ISIS video has ever been as barbaric as a KKK recruitment video. KKK recruitment videos, typically not available to the public, show live lynchings, burnings, and even images of pregnant women having their babies cut from their bellies and stomped by robed Klansmen, as the women burn on pyres of fire. Reports by the Alabama Equal Justice Initiative found that 3,960 “Blacks” were lynched from 1877 to 1950. It is commonly accepted that the documented number of lynchings is severely under reported, however, those are the only cases where records exist.
In 2015, there were 1,146 people fatally shot by police in the United States. The highest percentage per capita based on population was “blacks” at 7.69 shootings per million “black” people, while “whites” the most populous “racial” group in the US was just 2.95 shootings per million “white” people. From highest to lowest, the most people killed by police were first Blacks, then Native-Americans, Hispanics, Whites, and finally Pacific Islanders (theguardian.com/thecounted). To put this into perspective, England had 55 fatal police shootings in the last 24 years, Australia had 94 in a 19 year period, and Canada had 25 in one of their worse years. So, what is happening in the United States? How is it that 1,146 were killed by those that are supposed to Protect and Serve, as their slogan suggests? History gives us our answer. The targets of the attacks have remained the same throughout the centuries. The Crusaders targeted the indigenous (dark skinned) peoples, just as the KKK targets dark skinned people and just as the statistics show us, the modern police target the dark skinned people. The only change is in the name of the organization that is wielding the weapon.
Why are “Blacks” so surprised that they are being killed by the police?
The Ku Klux Klan existed to serve the interests of the whites after the court ordered the end of slavery. The KKK was not only supported by the local populace, its ranks were filled with members of the local populace. Their vile and barbaric customs were welcomed by their communities and seen as a necessary defense against their imagined threats that a successful “black” community would pose. In fact, the only reason that the KKK does not need to be in the forefront as be- fore is because the modern police departments are continuing the mission of subjugation. After some time, the local police forces were organized to carry out the task of keeping “blacks” in a constant state of desperation economically, mentally, and even spiritually; with the assistance of the legal system. The stressors we have in our lives are orchestrated to give the desired effect. Being shut-out of lucrative job markets and convenient housing markets adds to our distress. Illicit drugs and liquor stores throughout our community shows our need to suppress our sadness and depression, while serving to destroy our people. Churches located at every corner provides our accepted paths of relief from our contrived desperation. This to being destructive because it is not guiding us to our original spirituality, but instead driving us towards the religion of our oppressor, which was originally brought to detach us from true spirituality. Churches also provide the emotional boost, similar to alcohol, assisting our people in coping with the tragic situations we often find ourselves facing.
This is the model that is in place now and yet somehow we are still surprised when a so-called trusted, badge wearing member of our community murders an unarmed “black” person. If many of us were not kept in a state of struggle, confusion and over-stimulation, then we may be able to connect the past with the present and see how the actions of the government’s police forces mimic those of the KKK and their predecessor, the Christian Knight. You see, the battle we face will neither be fought nor won in the physical realm.
History shows us how modern governments think of people of African descent. When you know the history or origins of something, then you know the truth of why it exists. The police are playing the same role as the KKK once did, while the KKK plays the same role the Christian Knight once did. Christian Knights attacked and murdered traditional peoples. They slaughtered whole villages as they ram- paged the land. They served the European Elite and helped to spread their power and influence across the globe. The Crusades had as much to do with religion as a bank robber trying to free the bank tellers from working. Many of our Ancestors were introduced to the “New World” in chains, if they were fortunate enough to survive the horrors of the voyage from Africa. We were whipped, beaten, raped, and forced to mate with our mothers, daughters, and sisters. Young, strong men were publicly sodomized to break their will. Now tell me, how can you go back to the same system representing all that and say, “my life matters, I have rights?” Does that make sense?
The condition caused by oppression is well known by all those that have suffered under its ilk for the past few generations. Many of the so-called “leaders” and self-professed scholars in our communities have spent countless hours and energies lecturing and writing about the oppression by “whites,” governments and corporations in an effort to bring awareness. Yet, we who are suffering are well aware of their evils and you would be ignorant to think that those that are perpetrating these horrors are unaware of the impact of their actions. So, I am not writing this article to beat a dead horse by telling you what you already know. Truthfully, if you claim ignorance to what the institutions are doing to humanity at this time, then you are either too delusional or intoxicated to be of assistance, or are working undercover for the oppressor.
I am not writing this article spread xenophobic rhetoric or racist ideology. I am writing it because the Prophet of Traditions, the late Prophet Neb Naba Lamoussa Morodenibig said, “it is writers that change the world.” I am writing to stir something inside you that may have been put to sleep by all the pleasures and distractions of the modern world. I am writing to wake you up to what must be done if we, humanity, are to survive and move off of the destructive path we are on. I am writing to get you to do something for yourself and all those that will come after you.
Let’s be honest, the reality is that Eli Whitney had more to do with ending physical bondage slavery than Abraham Lincoln. He made the Cotton Gin in 1793 and this automatization of cotton picking was comparatively cheap. The only reason “blacks” are not in chains today is that it was more favorable for your enslavers to pay you some money to feed and clothe yourselves than it was for them to do it for you. That’s it. And, you can rest assured that when it stops being favorable for you to feed and clothe yourself, then your enslaver will do it for you once again. Keep in mind that all the atrocities heaped upon our favorite boogeyman, Adolph Hitler, were all perfectly legal accord- ing to the laws of his country at the time. Now, the enforcers of local government, the police, are blatantly killing “blacks” in full public view, no longer hiding their agenda.
Even now there are those among you that are saying how the “black” men that were shot were criminals or drug addicts or just stupid and that they should have just followed the orders of the police. How, if it was you, you would have done everything they said to do. Well, maybe you do follow every command they give you and they shoot you anyway. Consider that in 2015, of the 1,146 people killed by police, 233 of them were unarmed. 79 of the 233 unarmed people killed by police were “black.” Consider- ing the history of modern government’s treatment of people of African descent, how can you be surprised?
Throughout this article “black” is placed in quotations for an important reason. Because “Black Lives Matter” is a destructive concept. One, the term “black” used to identify a people does not provide any cultural identity that is linked with any people. It’s coined from a derogatory term from history used by the Romans in reference to anyone that was not Roman. Historically , Romans called themselves “white” because originally the color white was associated with purity. The Romans then said anyone who is not Roman is “black,” and this had nothing to do with the color of anyone’s skin. Even the tribes in Germany and Scandinavia were called “black” and they had much lighter skin tones than the Romans. So, adopting the identifier of “black” as a people is equal to taking the term “nigger” to identify one’s self. Could you imagine how stupid it would sound to say “Nigger Lives Matter?” That is what you are saying when you call yourself “black” and chant “Black Lives Matter”. How can someone be taken seriously when they embrace the identity given to them by their oppressor and call it their own? Wake up!
Several thousand years prior to the derogatory use of the term “black” by the Roman Empire, there was a time when our Ancestors in Africa were referred to as “the blacks” and again it had nothing to do with the color of anyone’s skin. The reference to “the blacks” was because to the rest of the world outside of the influence of Kemetic culture, traditional pre-colonial African culture, the way our Ances- tors behaved, built their cities, farmed, focused on purity and cleanliness and generally lived their lives, was a mystery to everyone. Those outside of Kemet would look from afar and marvel at the people that were shrouded in mystery. It was as if our Ancestors were covered in a veil of secrecy that couldn’t be seen through, covered in blackness. So, this is how they were known as “the blacks.” It was because people outside of the culture were unable to perceive or see how or why the people of Kemet did what they did.
We know that some 455+ years ago, when the slave masters were taking us from our culture, stripping us from our language, our foods, our medicines, our intellect, our wisdom, and our spirituality, they gave us a book in return and said, “All you need is in here.” This book is called the Bible. Its purpose was to pacify us and convince us to accept our situation as part of “God’s” unknowable, all-powerful, immaculate plan. A plan that we need only to submit to for us to reach true salvation. A plan that was so successful in keeping us from returning to our Ancestral ways that even without the slave masters’ whips and instruments of torture we happily embrace our destruction as a people, turning away from our heritage to hold onto the pacifier given to us by our enslaver. The real question is why was so much effort put towards keeping us away from our culture? Maybe it is because the solutions to all the problems we face in our lives and all the problems in the world today have all been thought about and figured out many thousands of years ago. [Pause]
Let that sink in for a bit.
All the problems we see today, in our governments, our environment, and our relationships have already been figured out and tested and confirmed for thousands upon thousands of years.
While it is important to reconquer our freedom and to be able to return to the stability of our past, we cannot confuse the reason for doing so. If we endeavor to conquer our freedom for the sake of freedom then we will fall into the same trap our enslavers have fallen into. It is the same trap that countless other conquering civilizations fell into. Our Ancestors recognized this trap as the Conflict of Powers. The conflict of powers is what motivates a society/culture or individual to compete against other societies/cultures or individuals to prove they are the most powerful. To prove they are the strongest, the most intelligent, the most deserving of special considerations when it comes to imposing their customs or will on others. This pointless competition can only lead to the usurpation and enslavement of the property, lands, and lives of others, as we prove our greatness over them. The great schools of Kemet understood this process was fueled by the emotions of those that are trying to make sense out of a life that has lost its spiritual reasons for existing. This tendency to compete and compare oneself based on arbitrary standards comes to bring comfort to the human moving towards death while refusing to face the realities of life. Realities analyzed and observed and cataloged for millennia by our Ancestors for the purpose of living a spiritually guided life in harmony with existence. A life of honor to oneself and to one’s history. A life denied to those fighting to be seen as worthy of recognition from our enslaver. Attempts to take the educational models developed by our enslaver and use them to obtain the ma- terials deemed to be indicative of success (i.e. fancy car, big house, designer clothes, lavish jewelry, etc.) can be seen as the dirt shoveled onto our graves we have unknowingly dug for ourselves. Our Ancestors measured success in the development of the individual’s qualities -- qualities that are directly linked to moving one closer to embodying the essence of a divine being. Our societies were structured to solve the problems existing in the world today. Even the problems we have with ourselves have been answered and tested and verified throughout the eons. The proof has been put into the structure of the oldest and longest surviving culture on this planet. I know that’s a big statement. If you are still with me, let me explain. The purpose of Kemetic culture, the whole reason that communities came to join Kemet, was for the development of the individual. The culture was structured to create the highest quality human being possible. The strongest, smartest, wisest, purest, most honest, most harmonious, god-like human being that could be raised. Whatever your profession this culture sought to improve your quality to the highest potential attainable. Whether you were a metal worker, farmer, scholar, King, or Priest there was a culture-wide emphasis placed on being better with each generation. This focus over thousands of lifetimes yielded some of the greatest developments in human history. The social structure of Kemetic relationships mimics the structures observed in the Divine Realm. The goal behind the culture was to recreate to the best of our ability the Divine World here on Earth. Applying the logics discovered by Kemet to your life will put you on a path towards the divine. It will give you harmony within all that exists and set you on the path to fulfilling your destiny.
