The Age of Recovery
The Pilgrim’s Walking Stick: The Age of Recovery
Happy New Year!
With the close of year 414, we celebrate twenty years since Prophet Neb Naba Lamoussa Morodenibig arrived in America with his mission to reconnect the Kemetic (African) diaspora to their Ancestral traditions.
His mission was not a small one. In a world now torn by the politics of divide and conquer, Kemet’s (Africa’s) children are not clear on their origination in the Motherland. Kemetic (Pharaonic) culture has been relegated to just the Nile Valley territory. Its monuments and feats are associated with its last invaders instead of the world-wide reach of its culture. Kemet, as the shining legacy of all humanity, has been confused by racial divisions.
Kemet, as the cradle of civilization, offers all of us the site of humanity’s roots. It offers us the wisdom of our first forefathers, men and women who have long since been silenced by death. Men and women who defined human civilization and opened the human consciousness to human refinement. Those whose image is today, demonized by the modern politicians dedicated to preventing every individual from reclaiming their Ancestral heritage and true strength.
Nine years ago, the missionary, Prophet Neb Naba returned to the motherland, satisfied that the seed he planted had grown strong enough to provide refuge for all who are searching. He spent two years in Kemet before returning to our true home in death. Before his return, he told his disciples, “I have given you everything you need to rebuild. Most of the world’s powers you see today started with much less than what I’ve given you.”
His words were true. His short time spent in the West was proud, potent and profound. He exposed the survival of the original language of humanity: the Kemetic language (Medu) and with it he provided all lost in the West with a language that unites humanity at its roots. He provided the African diaspora with a Pan-African language. The descendants who had lost track of the branch from which they connect to the African family tree could now meet at its roots.
He also presented the Kemetic calendar. Originally, the science of time division provided humanity a way out of enslavement, and again, today, it provides us this opportunity.
The Neter (God) Wsr gave us this escape from the slavery that the natural world had put us in by exposing humanity to The Kemetic Calendar. Our survival needs, paired with our own inexperience and ignorance left us no room to attend to anything else. Time division and the knowledge of agriculture provided us this room. 365 days comprises a farmer’s year. Four farmer’s years comprise a medium year and it is at the end of this medium year that humans and Gods renew their pact of harmony on what is known as World Renewal Day.
The modern system has hidden this original knowledge behind “scientific” stories of a leap year that hide the plagiarization of the modern calendar. The modern system represents nothing more than the refinement of the institution of slavery. It represents the success that politicians have had in capturing the human consciousness and misdirecting it: away from our spiritual identity and responsibilities and towards small human ambitions. It has been 2,015 years since politicians conquered our perception of time.
The Kemetic calendar provides us a way to recover our perception of space and time. It brings order to our lives and allows us to find and maintain our harmonious position within the symphony of transformations surrounding us in the natural world. That natural world transforms on rhythms, and the human body also full of rhythms must keep up the pace. The rhythm of our heartbeats, the rhythms of our life and death, the rhythm on which we put our energies together in ceremony in attempt to contribute to the harmony of our planet within the web of existence -- all of them must be syncopated with the rhythms of the universe.
The Sidereal Calendar provides us our guide in space and time for living a spiritual existence in the legacy of our Kemetic Ancestors. After charting the rhythms of the Sirius Star (1,461 years), our grand Ancestors measured the effects of the smaller cycles within this Great Cycle. Their extensive knowledge of astronomy and time division serve as an oracle. Around the time of the last convergence of the energies of the Sirius Star on Earth, chattel slavery was starting its most intense phase.
The period we now find ourselves in is an age of recovery. However, it will be up to each individual to take his or her life serious enough to actively reassume its reins. Each one of our lives plays out together with the destiny of all the entities on the planet. It is for us to remember this universal dimension rather than the distractions on Earth’s surface and ensure that we are contributing to the recovery of our species and the harmony of our planet. Our recovery is not a fate that is written in stone; the destructive forces of our planet will continue to work through whomever they can to continue hypnotizing us in order to hijack our sympathy and energy towards their own causes.
I will wish strength and courage to the reader. May the words on the following pages ring louder and truer than the tantalizing words of your political leaders. I humbly ask that you look into the works and accomplishments of the Prophet and his mission.
