Shining Son of Kemet
This man, I approached him. He was a specimen out of the ordinary. In his calm, he dominated his emotions with an exceptional grasp. And it is with such control that he dominated all the questions that he was asked to answer. With him, no glue was sticky. This man appeared at the height of knowledge. One should strive to be this man, to have a clear vision of life, to have one's behaviour and limits obey one's logic. Him, his limitations were difficult to hear because he had succeeded where many men have failed: the detachment.
Detached, it was. Neither his clothing nor his menu could suggest he had crossed the threshold of Burkina, his homeland. The indulgent cravings for properties, he conquered by the scorn for what one gains more dangerous: enslavement. He was absolutely a free person not de- signed to tap into the material world that was not necessary for his survival. Tortured in the depths of himself by the condition of his black brother, he endured humiliation, harassment and deprivation of all kinds to sit among white culture and build the foundations for a recovery without a call from "black man": the KEMETIC SCHOOLS.
Culturally, scientifically, organisationally, he showed that the black man is not only to be respected, he is to be regarded as the alpha and omega of humanity. His action was convincing, his argument was relentless, his work was... great! Today, it is a monument that has left us. It is a worthy son of the Gourmantche who left us. It is an out- standing representative of the black dignity we thought we had lost.
We are confident that now he is welcomed by the ancestors, he is now with our predecessors. Let him be accompanied by rituals and customs that accompany each passenger as we are called to death on our day. We will then be entitled to support the blessings and the enlightenment he brought; we want to continue his work or shall we say we just want to live the way we had come to live, as we had come to be, as we had come to return! Tribute to the man, a tribute to his ideas, a tribute to his action, his example and his courage in a world where interests often control behaviour of indignity, of cowardice, compromise and fear.
Tribute to the man and his journey marked by difficulties, not to exist but to help others to better exist.
Tribute to the man, and his abnegation, not to make a fortune but to prevent others from doing bad fortune.
Tribute to the man and his greatness not to talk to him but to prevent others from falling into the trap of pride.
Lamoussa, you remain our reference, our model and our Master.

May the land of Burkina be slight to you so that you may rest in peace.
