A Man of Excellence
My experience with Master Naba started with a radio broadcast. Here in New York City I was preparing myself to leave my residence in order to take care of some unfinished business when I heard the radio announcer introduce Master Naba Lamoussa Morodenibig along with one of his students, Bikbaye Inejnema. As I listened, I soon detected that this was a very important program for me, since I am addicted to talk radio. The subject and questions were about human behavior, and the history of Africa and the World. This was a Dogon High Priest speaking so I could not leave... this was right "up my alley"
Master Naba discussed why it was better for a man to have many wives than for a woman having many husbands. He explained with our ancestor's system of polygamy you could easily trace the blood- line however with a system of polyandry, which was not a Kemetic family structure, the bloodline can easily be confused and this causes a serious spiritual problem. He spoke about the Kemetic (African) people being a great and mighty people who laid the foundation for all people's greatness. I was fascinated by his presentation and listened closely to where his next appearance would be. It was announced that the next question and answer session was to be the following weekend on 125th St. in Harlem.
I arrived early on that Saturday. It was there I first met Master Naba and his eldest student: Bikbaye Inejnema. I was impressed and continued to learn more about myself and humanity at that discussion. I also learned that the Master wanted to set up a school in New York. When the school opened I was a part of the first generation to study. I would later graduate with the first generation of M'TAM initiates on the East Coast of the US. There was mention of a trip to Merita (Africa) that was taken by the students annually as a pilgrimage. I missed the first trip but made the second.
On the Pilgrimage of the year 407 (according to the Sidereal Cal- endar), I was amazed at Master Naba's ability to influence people. The ease with which he moved through road blocks, his ability to discipline students, his strength, his knowledge, his ability and his humility were powerful evidence that he was a true master. He also was able to read people and the future. On the trip, he would speak on the history of peoples and how they evolved. He introduced us to other Dogon High Priests. He was a human being of high esteem who inspired his students to higher principles of life. He made us aware of the reality of the world we live in. He also laid the foundation for his students to excel and for our job to forward his teachings. It was truly a blessing, a privilege and an honor to have met and been in the company of Master Naba: A man of excellence and a High Priest of high quality.
