Eternal Benefits
IN our world today it seems as though we fall victim to the feeling that all of the phenomena we observe are a mandate of reality, and, are simply how things work. Medu class gave me an opportunity to observe these phenomena from the vantage point of a very deep and ancient tradition in order to have understanding of them.
We are currently living in an extension of the Greco-Roman/Colonial cultural flux. Because the Kemetic culture pre-dates these cultures exponentially, it is advantageous to the mind of the student to understand these cultures as having a point of origin.
Without understanding that these cultures have a point of origin, we are left feeling that the system we are in is just "the way things work".
There are some very basic elements that differentiate us as initiates into the culture of Kemet from the current society.
Our knowledge of the ancestral spirit.
Our active and reality-based relationship with the world of the dead, and the world of the Gods.
Our experience and professionalism.
And our efforts to preserve life and do good.
The list could go on and on, but these are simply a few of big differences.
We know for a fact that we experience a chain of reincarnation, and that this life is a part of that. The current society strives to live this life as though it was their last, and in making that mistake, struggles in traction with the natural becoming of the existence.
A lack of understanding leads to confusion, and then depression.
A big part of the Medu class is centered in learning the traditional language called the Medu. We learn to write and read this language in order to expand our minds. It is not a linear language like English. It is a conceptual language. When we speak English, we are literally retarding parts of our brain. The Medu by its very phonetic and syntactic presence is healing for the human being. It is of course, the language of the Gods.
I learned a great deal in Medu about myself. I learned that I am here to live the best I can while living here in this body. I remembered that this body is passed to me down a river of blood from my ancestors, and it is not mine. It is on loan to me. I know now that the things I do in this life reverberate in multiple dimensions. I also know that the choices that I make and the morals I break will be judged in a place where my answers cannot be faked. This will then determine the conditions of my next reincarnation.
We learn about the 77 Commandments. This is the code that was give to us by the Gods when we decided that we wanted to aspire to their world. They outline simple principals that, if followed, can lead the pilgrim on a successful journey into the world of the dead and beyond. These are the criteria about which we are questioned in the hall of judgment. Even if we lie then, the truth is latent within our being and cannot be shrouded.
In analyzing the Greco-Roman cultural flux, we see several things that were introduced to us, that are not in the best interest of humanity. There is the concept of the Hero. This was provided for the people as something to look up to that taps into our emotional/ animalistic reasoning. It is easy to see a big strong hero who provides us with a fulfillment that is lacking in substance. The people we respected in the Kemetic society were figures who make sacrifices, not heroes. There is a big difference. The hero fights for a cause, slays the enemy, has charisma, and wins battles. The one who sacrifices, gives up what he is not expected to give up, for the greater good. Think about it.
There is also the fake god Lieber. Lieber was introduced in 500 BC by the Greeks and represented freedom from the 77 Commandments. Lieber also represented orgies, drunkenness, unclean things and the breaking of taboos. This was advantageous to them, because after the Greeks came and learned from us, they hijacked our technologies and cosmogony, and took the salad bar approach; take what you want, leave the rest. Lieber is the root of words like "Liberty", "Liberation", and "Liberal". Think about that.
I feel that I am on the path that unites every single thing that I have ever been exposed to. This education has enriched my life in so many subtle, and great ways. To say that it is the fulfillment of my dreams would be fantasy, it is indeed the fulfillment of my life. The people I know, and my family have noticed an obvious shift in my clarity of thought, health, and focus since beginning this. The guidance I receive from my Kemetic family through tribulations, is whole and honest, and the lessons I learn have their root in the truth. I have had an interest in spiritual and cultural strands for many years. Kemet is the yolk that binds these strands, and is driven by the oxen of the becoming. It is crucial for me to have discovered that all of the cultures I researched previously are united under this system. This system simply observes the human being as a human being, and addresses the life of the human being as such. So, just as those cultures were isolated and evolved from Kemet, they are now on their way back home for supper.
