The battle between good and evil forces has its episodes. This struggle for the survival of the best in humans is as old as the world itself. It has been represented by the antagonistic struggle involving a jealous God, ancestor of Satan, known under the name of Seth and the God-child to which we identify the moral and spiritual human. His name is Heru. Seth has turned a human being into an orphan; Seth has killed the father of the human being, the God that guarantees human qualities. The God of the redemption of human beings has joined his throne in the World of the Dead. His son, whom we identify ourselves with, finds himself with the heavy responsibility of reestablishing the name of his father. He is the son that has been conceived posthumously. He is a child born from the union between the Goddess of Love, Aishat (Isis), and a dead God Wsr (Osiris). He is the prematurely born child born only a few months after his conception. The God-child to which we identify ourselves found himself having to fight Seth, a God that has been malicious enough to fool his father and rush his death.

Seth has lost many battles but today humanity is in danger in which it has never been before: Seth has driven his sword into the right eye of Heru. Seth has turned Heru into a one-eyed God. Forces of evil have gained some advantage over good. Heru is finding himself seriously handicapped but he knows that there is no safe place from the forces of evil where he could hide. He knows that his survival and the survival of the whole of humanity depends on the defeat of the evil forces and the victory of Horusian philosophy over Satan. But Seth has no face - he can adopt any face. He can even adopt the face of creator Gods, the Gods of love, and even the Gods of good.

The destiny of the world has been prophesied 73,000 years ago. All the temples have their version of the Holy Drama and it is the imitation of that drama that gave birth to modern-day comedies and theaters. 

Just by looking at the world, we can easily see the tendency to destroy the Earth and humankind, which is nothing but the actions of Seth. We also can see some tendencies to preserve the Earth and humankind through some nongovernmental organizations. What is missing is the face of the Godchild in us. The one that is fighting against the evil that is getting into humanity. Religions have reduced the human being into a sort of spiritual and philosophical passivity. We are all aware of the destruction we are bringing to the world but Seth is controlling our vices. When we look at the pollution of this world, we prefer to see how industrialization has made life easy for us. The truth is, we are drowning in the vices and we cannot save the world from disaster by drowning in vices.

Heru has lost one eye; the vice has conquered human beings. The vice has used the religious doorway since the day Moses announced that he was freeing mankind by reducing the Divine Commandments from seventy-seven to ten. The doorway to the vices has been kept open since the day some prophets announced that the redemption of the human being depended more on their faith and beliefs than anything else. Heru still continues his fight for the victory of good, but what are we doing to help the survival of humanity?

Why the Sidereal Calendar Has 13 Months

Originally, the year consisted of twelve months of thirty days. The year that I am writing about is also called the "small cycle" of which three small cycles of 365 days make a great year.

But, as previously stated, the 365-day small cycle originally had only 360 days.

There was a specific event that led to the addition of five days to a year, or small cycle. This event has to do with the Gods Ra (the Great God), Nwt (the Sky Goddess), and Geb (the God of the Earth). It happened like this: The Great God Ra, of whom everything is within, caught Nwt the Sky Goddess, and Geb the God of the Earth in the act of procreation. Nwt is the granddaughter of Ra, and Ra gets angry at the Goddess' rush to procreate.

Ra punished Nwt by forbidding the Goddess to bear children all 360 days of the year. Because Nwt was devastated by this punishment, the Goddess appealed to the Ennead of Gods. The Ennead of Gods decided to add extra days to the year, or a small cycle, so the Goddess could bear children. The extra five days became the thirteenth month of the year and is named for Nwt.

The five children born from Nwt were: Wsr, Heru the Great, Seth, Aishat, and Nephtys. These days are celebrated as the birthdays of the Gods and as the festival that will precede the new year or small cycle.
