Surviving evil and perpetuating life are part of the principles that determine the life of a human being who advances towards Gods. Since the good cannot commit evil acts, the individual who is interested in the qualitative development of his soul will find himself locked in a sort of duel against those who are seduced by the destructive power of Seth.
If the world is considered a terrain of confrontation between these two principles, evil will come in with all its characteristics and immortality. The evil is the one that kills but cannot be killed, the one that betrays but cannot be betrayed, and the one that abuses but cannot be abused. The good will come with its fragility and the principle of death and resurrection. It is able to reincarnate. At first look, the principle of good appears to be disadvantaged, but the capability to be reborn offers the subject the possibility to evolve and adapt to new situations. While Seth will see his victory in the fact that he can destroy Heru, Heru will see his victory in the fact that he will always be reborn under one form or another to continue his work as the defender of the principles of good and to maintain the harmony that is being guaranteed by Gods.
It is the wife of Bataou who has shown to the soldiers of the Pharaoh the secret of the invincibility of her husband. It is simply difficult for the human being who is looking just for his peace to understand why beings that have been fashioned by Gods to be our companions on this Earth can treat us like enemies. It is so true that the principle of detachment is the one that will protect us from what we think we possess or have. The Gods have undoubtedly fashioned the wife of Batou for him, but they made her human; and as a human being, even though sacred, this wife will come weak and subject to all sorts of corruption.
Meanwhile, Inipu, the older brother of Bataou, continued his life until the day when he came home after a long day at work. When he finished washing his hands, he went and poured for himself a calabash of millet beer. He observed that his beer was foaming in an extraordinary way. The ground at his feet became covered with foam coming from the calabash. He was shocked and decided to serve another calabash of wine. He observed that the wine quickly became cloudy and thick. He then remembered quickly the prophetic speech his younger brother had. He gathered his sandals, clothes, tools, and walking stick, and took the direction of the valley of the Cedars. When he arrived at the house of Bataou, he found Bataou's body on the bed, lifeless. Bataou was dead. Inipu started crying.
Inipu came out of the house in search of the heart spirit of his brother. He went from one cedar tree to another and only relaxed in the evening. He spent three years in search of the heart of Bataou but could not find it. At the beginning of the fourth year, Inipu became discouraged and told himself that he will never find one single thing that could give life back to his brother. He was starting to miss his village. He decided to give up his search. On the last day of his search, while he was returning to the house of his brother, he told himself that his brother deserved an extra effort from him. He walked toward another set of cedar trees, but instead of looking toward the branches, his attention was quickly caught by a fruit that was decomposing at his feet. He lifted the fruit and under that fruit, he found an object reminding him vaguely of what he was imagining to be the heart and spirit. Excited, he touched the object and realized it was the heart spirit of his brother! He quickly took it and placed it in the vase of fresh water. He spent the whole evening sitting by the vase containing the heart spirit of his brother in the fresh water. At the arrival of the second night, Inipu observed that the heart spirit of his brother had absorbed all the water. He then turned his eyes toward the body of his brother and realized that slowly, the body was coming to life. He observed the feet and the hands of Bataou. They were slowly shaking. Then he looked at the heart and the rest of the body. Bataou slowly opened his eyes. Bataou turned his head toward his older brother but could not say anything. His heart was so weak.
Inipu then quickly took the heart spirit of his brother from the vase of cold water and replaced it in the flower of the cedar. The energy from the heart spirit readjusted and entered within Bataou. The two brothers hugged each other. They spent the whole evening celebrating the new life. But Bataou announced to his older brother: "I will transform myself into a very beautiful bull with the most beautiful fur. But the nature of it will be the most mysterious. I would like for you to ride on my back during the day. When we get to the place where my wife is, I will avenge myself. I will like also that you take me to the house of the King, and you will be generously rewarded. You will be covered with gold and silver because you have taken me to the Pharaoh. I will become very marvelous and the whole of humanity will rejoice in my history. This is it, and then you can go back to your town."
The following day, as predicted, Bataou transformed himself into a magnificent bull. His older brother rode on his back to the royal palace. The magnificence of the bull was so that it attracted a lot of curious people. His Majesty came to see the bull and rejoiced when all the wise men told him that this bull was sacred. His majesty ordered a festival in honor of the bull. He said in a sort of excitement, "What is happening here is the most marvelous thing in the world". The whole of humanity rejoiced and celebrated the arrival of the sacred bull. Inipu was rewarded. He was covered with gold and silver, just as Bataou predicted.
The Pharaoh expressed his gratitude to Inipu. He offered him everything he desired. Inipu became the most beloved man on Earth. The sacred bull was adored by the whole world, everywhere on Earth.
Time passed. One day, the sacred bull went to the place of purification and placed itself on the side of the sacred lady. The bull then told the sacred lady, "I am alive, and I exist really." The sacred lady, surprised, turned her face toward the bull and said, "Who are you?" The bull answered, "I am Bataou. You have succeeded in convincing the Pharaoh to cut down the cedar tree so that he can stop my chance to live, but I live, I exist really under the form of a bull."
The sacred wife became very afraid when she realized that the bull was, in reality, a form that had been adopted by Bataou, her husband. The sacred wife quickly left the place of purification. Later, while she was spending the time of relaxation at the table of his majesty, she waited for the moment when he was extremely gracious towards her and she spoke to the pharaoh in these terms, "Vow in the name of the Gods that you will listen to what I will tell you, and you will obey and do what I ask you to do." When the Pharaoh reassured her, she said, "I would like for you to give me the liver of this bull to eat because it will not be of any use."
The Pharaoh became extremely saddened by this demand, but since he had vowed and he believed in the qualities of his sacred wife, he waited until morning and proclaimed a ceremony of offering to the honor of the bull. But by that time, he has ordered the royal workers to kill the bull.
After the bull was killed, and while the servants of the Pharaoh were carrying the carcass on their shoulders on the way to the inner royal court, the bull shook itself and two drops of blood landed on the ground. One of the drops landed by the side of the royal doorway and the other by the gate. The two drops of blood transformed themselves into two giant trees with unequaled beauty. The Pharaoh was quickly informed, "Two big trees have grown overnight in the most miraculous way in front of your door, majesty!" All of humanity celebrated the miracle. His Majesty then made an offering to these trees…
Time passed. One day the Pharaoh decided to go visit the two miraculous trees. He sat in the royal chariot accompanied by the sacred lady. Two horses from the royal stable pulled them towards the doorway of the palace. On arrival, the Pharaoh got out of the chariot and sat under one of the miraculous trees. The sacred lady came and sat under the other. While she was starting to relax, she heard a voice that she quickly recognized. "Oh, you unfaithful! I am Bataou and I am alive. It is you that has caused the Pharaoh to cut down the tree on which the spirit of my heart was. I then took the form of a bull, and you made it that I was killed." The sacred lady got up and walked away from the tree. After they returned to the palace, she thought of a new plan. Time went by. One day while the sacred lady was sharing the table of his majesty, she waited for the moment when he was extremely gracious towards her and said, "Vow in the name of the Gods and say that you will listen to the sacred lady and you will do anything I ask you to do." After the Pharaoh accepted. she then said, "I'm begging you to cut these two mystery trees. Their wood will serve as fine timber." The Pharaoh obeyed. He ordered the woodcutters to cut the trees. When the carpenters were cutting the trees in front of the royal palace, the Pharaoh observed with sadness in his heart. The sacred lady was standing by him. Sensing the sadness of the Pharaoh, she wanted to console him. The work of the carpenters was hard. There were a lot of tasks and pieces of wood and bark were flying everywhere. At the moment when the sacred lady opened her mouth, a very little piece of bark landed in her throat. She swallowed it without realizing it. She coughed but couldn't spit it out.
A few dekans later, the sacred lady found that she was pregnant. The news rejoiced the hearts of the inhabitants of the city. His majesty made her everything she desired. She gave birth to a boy. At the birth, one announced to the Pharaoh, "Oh majesty, a young boy is born from you!" The kid was brought to the Pharaoh. A great number of guardians and servants took care of the boy. The Pharaoh announced his joy to humanity. The Pharaoh spent happy days with his son. One paid homage to the boy under the title of "the sacred royal son of Kush".
Time went by. Later, the Pharaoh made his son the repat (royal prince of all the lands). The son of the Pharaoh was ruling humanity as a repat for a lot of years.
Later, his majesty flew to the world of the dead. After the funeral and the period of mourning, the repat ordered, "May all the nobles of His Majesty come to me so that I will inform them of what happened to me." After all the nobles and the chiefs were reunited, he ordered that the sacred lady be brought to him. After he reintroduced himself as Bataou, he entered into judgment with her in front of the whole of humanity. He asked his older brother to come and made him repat on all the countries of the world.
After Bataou reigned humanity and Kemet for 20 years, he left the world of the living. As for his older brother, he stayed in his room until the day of his death. This book ends here.
