The Dogon California tour

This winter, Iritah Shenmira Naba, the successor of Prophet Neb Naba, took a tour to the West Coast of the USA. He and six other disciples of the MTAM Temple set out to expose communities across California to Dogon culture.

The Bay Area was our first stop, a place the Dogon elders had already foretold would be the site of the next Kebtah (Earth Center) temple. Divinations had also forewarned of the excessive rains that we'd see in this period. But, when one is sent on a mission, bad weather, or any other challenges for that matter, cannot stop the mission from being executed. Challenges and obstacles become the messenger's breath. Carrying a message from the Ancestors, we were ready for whatever was waiting.

The tour opened with a lecture in Santa Rosa, California where our audience was even larger than expected. For a long time people had misunderstood that The Earth Center mission was only of concern and benefit to Black Americans. This misunderstanding coming from the racial politics of America has been put to rest. The wisdom that the Dogon have preserved benefits all of humanity as it has come from the Nile Valley, the light of humanity’s history. This first lecture would lead to more opportunities to share our message.

A lecture in Oakland, California and some radio and video appearances followed. As the interest grew, we invited attendees to join us at the Kaba Ranch for a day of meditation on modern New Year’s Day. The Kaba Ranch is a ranch run by an initiate of The Earth Center temple in San Diego and it is now the rendezvous point for beginning our activities in the Bay area.

The new year saw us in San Francisco at the Nabe speaking to a smaller crowd about the revolutionary nature of The Earth Center mission.

The rest of our tour schedule is as follows:

Jan 6 - Women’s Event - Womb Healing for the Divine Feminine

Soft Medicine Sanctuary, Sebastopol

Jan 7 - The Hidden Dimensions - A Workshop on Dogon Spirituality & Traditional Herbal Knowledge

Worldbeat Center, San Diego

Jan 11 - Storytelling with the Dogon

Kipp Empower Academy, Los Angeles

Jan 19 - 22 Dogon Cleansing Workshop

The Nest, Hollywood

This is not the first time The Earth Center's mission and Ankhkasta's services and recipes had been taken West. Prophet Neb Naba Lamoussa Morodenibig and two of his initiates had done it in 2006. It is what led to the establishment of temples in San Diego and Los Angeles just before Neb Naba returned home to continue his work from the motherland.

Prophet Neb Naba was not the first to be commissioned with the task of taking the teachings, spiritual knowledge and techniques of the Dogon temples to enlighten unfamiliar territories. He comes from a line of such missionaries. They are more appropriately called landlords (the meaning of Dogon) not because of any professed property rights, but because they are a part of the culture that has stored the knowledge of the land and how to interact with the unseen powers that inhabit it.  This is how they have met their responsibility as stewards of Earth. This is the legacy that the Nabas, in particular, have carried.  The one that has supported their sons in the amazing work they have done:

Naba Lamoussa Bassirou (or Iritah Shenmira Naba) in bringing The Earth Center temples to the United Kingdom and the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Quebec.

Before him, Neb Naba Lamoussa Morodenibig who brought the mission throughout the Sahel region of Africa and Germany and established The Earth Center in the USA.

And before him, Naba Lamoussa who brought the mission and the MTAM sciences across West Africa.

And before them, there were many in the Naba line who did the same.  Just as there were many initiatic priests of the Kemetic temples who brought the knowledge from the Nile Valley into the world.  Though so important to understanding the true history of human civilization, many of these priests and their accomplishments have been rewritten. That is why it’s so important that as the mission spreads, Rising Firefly Productions re-tells the history according to what has been preserved in the Kemetic historical archives.

In some of our publications we have already told the stories of priests like Abu who carried Kemetic culture to the Asian continent. His work would develop into what is now known as Buddhism.  The committee of spiritual researchers started by the Prophet Ptahotep whose mission has become Sufi religion. As well as others, like the priests of Tuba who carried Kemetic culture and worship of the Solar Divinities to West Africa and across the ocean to the Americas.

Kemet, as the Light of the world is still illuminating humanity.  The mission and legacy that Iritah Shenmira Naba carries is not a new one. Let your friends and family who reside in California know not to miss this opportunity.  We hope to see them and hope to see you upon our return to The Earth Center headquarters in Chicago, IL.
